Čiurlioniada: Piano Music Evening | Simonas Poška
One of the most outstanding Lithuanian pianists of the young generation Simonas Poška – a laureate of the 9th International M. K. Čiurlionis Piano Competition – will perform at the Rietavas Cultural Centre.
Although this piano recital is dedicated to the 150th birthday anniversary of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, however, this year the whole world is also celebrating the anniversary of the French composer Maurice Ravel, who was born in the same year. These jubilees will be reflected in the concert programme, which will feature works by both composers, alongside other piano masterpieces.
"Čiurlioniada. Evenings of Piano and Organ Music" is a series of concerts featuring the laureates, jury members and special guests of the International M. K. Čiurlionis Piano and Organ Competition.
Project is partly sponsored by: Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania, Lithuanian Council for Culture, Vilnius City Municipality.
